SyndicatedOpeningCredits1972.rm	This Real Media file is an example of the shortened editions of the opening credits that were seen in syndication after the original prime-time broadcasts ended. In this instance, from 1972, the credits begin with the islander running through the jungle from Dragons of Ashida (skipping the canoeing natives from Pursuit of the Po-Ho); next appear Turu, the panther, the crocodile, Turu again, soldiers firing a machine gun, the robot spy, a tank firing, the robot spy again, an explosion, flying platforms from The Fraudulent Volcano, a condor swooping down on Bandit, and snakes in the Anubis tomb. [At this point the music morphs into what had (in the original credits) been heard over an exterior shot of the jet.] We now see a shot of the Dragons of Ashida in the jungle; then the visual frame compresses from the sides to the middle, then uncompresses to reveal the exterior of the jet. Next, the clip jumps to a close-up of Jonny Quest, followed by close-ups of Hadji and Bandit (skipping Dr. Quest and Race). Then we quickly cut back to an exterior shot of the jet before fading to black. After the fade, the voice of Mike Road says, "The Adventures of...[the show logo appears]...Jonny Quest!"	0:52, 1347K
SyndicatedOpening1978.rm	This Real Media file is another example of the shortened editions of the opening credits that were seen in syndication after the original prime-time broadcasts ended. In this instance, from 1978, the credits begin with the jet flying through the clouds (nearly at the end of the original credits) and continue through the rest of the credit clips as seen originally to the end. The voice of Mike Road speaks over the whole clip saying, "This supersonic jet on a super-secret mission carries a very special crew; young Jonny Quest, future scientist; his father Dr. Benton Quest, leader of the group; pilot and Dr. Quest’s assistant, Roger "Race" Bannon; Jonny’s East Indian companion, Hadji; and everyone’s friend and co-worker Bandit. Another popular request...the pteranodon's cry from Turu the Terrible.
This cut is from the introductory scenes to the episode. In it we hear a panther in the jungle, two natives paddling their canoe, a man's cry of terror, and, of course, many examples of Turu's bloodcurdling screech!

And another popular request...Sim Sim Sala Bim.
Whenever a mystic levitation was needed, Hadji could be heard to utter the phrase "sim sim sala bim". Here are two cases in point:
