Jonny Quest and Turu appeared on the cover of the March 12, 1967, edition of the South Australian TV-Radio Guide to promote the series on channel SAS10.

The blurb on the first page reads, "Our Cover ... / Jonny's Quest / As depicted on our cover this week, Jonny's innocent 'quest' for adventure often lands him into such scrapes as suddenly confronting a giant creature from the future. / You can see Jonny Quest every Friday on Channel Ten at 7 p.m."

The Friday, 7 p.m., listing that week reads, "Jonny Quest: 'Shadow of the Condor.' When Dr. Quest, Jonny and their party fly to the Andes, disaster intervenes.

This image was later used as a syndication publicity picture for the show in 1977.
